Remember to Keep Those Tanks Full as the Weather Warms up!

- 9:03 am - February 15th, 2019

With the temperatures reaching the mid-fifties and higher this final month of the heating season, there’s no denying that it looks like Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction wasn’t too far off – spring is coming sooner, rather than later!

You might think to yourself, “Finally, we can turn off the heat and put it out of our minds for the next nine months!” Not so fast! While you may not need your heating equipment as much anymore, there’s one important thing you need to do before you trade it in for spring BBQs and summer fun: schedule your final fill up of Ultra Heating Oil!

It’s important to keep a full tank during the warmer months, even if you don’t need the fuel now! Here’s why:

  • A full tank prevents condensation or moisture buildup that can lead to tank corrosion. Additionally, water buildup can result in the development of sediments that can make their way into your system and cause damage

  • You’ll be prepared for the next heating season, and if the cold weather should sneak up on us, you won’t have to worry about getting your fuel on time

  • If fuel prices should have risen by the next heating season, you’ll be able to avoid the higher costs

So, as the weather begins to warm up and you start to utilize your heating system less, don’t forget to keep that tank full! One surefire way to maintain a full tank of Ultra Heating Oil is by becoming an automatic delivery customer. You’ll always have the fuel you need when you need it! Contact us online or give us a call to become an automatic delivery customer, or to schedule your final fill up!
